Let me tell you why the other reviews on here are WRONG
1. This mouse is not “lightweight junk”.2. Braided cables are worse.3. Silicone side grips were never that great. Some of the reviews on here are ridiculous. Let me clear some things up.The Kailh switches in here are mid-weight and feel slightly heavier (and less mushy) than the optical switches in the Deathadder V2. The side buttons feel significantly better than the V2. The scroll wheel is less tactile (or smoother, depending on how you look at it). This is a heavy, heavy boy by today’s standards. This thing is better built than the V2, but consequently harder to do a weight reduction mod because the plastic is so damn thick.People that complain about this version not having a braided cable… you want an even less flexible one?! Razer’s braided cable is the same rubber cable with an additional outside sheath, making it even less flexible. This cable is an improvement from years past, but it’s not great. Fortunately because it’s not braided, it’s easy to rip the rubber sheath and shielding off, and paracord it.The side grips are meh. It’s a bit more than molded plastic, but not as noticeable as the silicone on the V2. Silicone still gets slippery when wet, so best solution was always aftermarket grips. If the V2 had G703 quality rubber grips to being with, then I could see the grip complaints on here being justified. My biggest problem with this thing is the lack of replacement skates. No corepads or tiger ice for this model. It has the rear skate of the V2, but two front skates more similar to the V2 Pro. If you you like the white color or mechanical switches, and use less than 6400dpi, then can’t go wrong for $20 and some elbow grease.Software still blows. Can use open source software to permaset light effects when not plugged into PC w/ Synapse.

Works amazing and is cheap, just doesn’t have costomizable colors.
Bought this mouse 2 weeks ago, it shipped BEFORE the time it said it was even going to.Mouse feels amazing and the design looks real and expensive. The weight is perfect, not to light so it comes off of the mouse pad and not to heavy where its hard to move. I also love the positioning of the mouse buttons, amazing mouse for only 22$ the only thing I don’t like about the mouse is I can’t change the colors to match the rest of my setup but the size fits it perfectly. I use this for R6 and it works great!

well done mouse!
The grip is nice, fits very well in my hand and feels nice, the color is a really nice touch and I love the green glowing. It isn’t too heavy or too light it’s like about in the middle for me, the side buttons work wonders and it also doesn’t lag or delay at all, I definitely would suggest this item for anyone who’s a serious gamer or is looking for a nice affordable mouse.

Wonderful value, but expect scroll wheel malfunction after 6-12 months
I’ve owned several Razer mice, none preowned: a DeathAdder 3500 back in 2010 that lasted ~7 years before it started clicking on its own, a Mamba Elite (wired) in 2021 that had just outlasted its warranty when the scroll wheel malfunctioned, and this white DeathAdder Essential, which lasted 13 months before having the same scroll wheel malfunction.Of the three, I like the design of this one more than the others. Visually, it’s sleek, simple, and nearly symmetrical — only as asymmetrical as is necessary to be ergonomic. In contrast to the black with green light, the white with white light is very pretty without standing out glaringly as a gaming mouse. Also, the inevitable buildup of gunk is visible enough on the white to know when you’ve fully cleaned it, but somehow less nasty looking than on a black mouse, in my opinion. Aside from the eventual malfunction (which I’ll address in a moment), all of the aspects of functionality are perfectly satisfying to me. More serious gamers explain that better than I can. The volume of the clicks and scrolls is pleasant and within a normal range. For $20, this is an EXTREMELY good mouse.Others have described the scroll wheel malfunction, but in short, during a scroll the input is interrupted by movement in the opposite direction. Scrolling downward, it will jitter upward in the middle of the scroll, and visa versa. For office use and games where scrolling controls camera zoom, it’s just an annoyance. For games where scrolling selects items on a toolbar, it’s an actual problem. With the Mamba Elite, I had not known about the issue when I bought it, so I was very frustrated and disappointed, and stubbornly avoided getting a new mouse for quite some time. The malfunction got worse and worse over time. However, I bought this DeathAdder Essential fully informed and expecting to have this problem, with the logic that getting to use this mouse for only 6 months or a year is still worth $20 to me. I saw that folks had this scroll wheel issue as early as 6 months into use; for me, it just started this morning, 13 months into use. I came back to this page immediately to order another one. It feels bizarre to treat a Razer mouse as disposable when the ones I previously owned had been so incredibly expensive at the time, but $20 is $20. When the new one arrives, the old one will travel with me for office use on my laptop.Unless you need a mouse that will last for several years and/or you can’t stomach throwing an electronic in the trash when it dies a premature death, I strongly recommend this mouse.

I know there are a lot of gaming mouse in the market but this is the best cheapest gaming mouse for me. I understand that there are cheaper gaming mouse available in the market but they are just not good enough. Razer is a good brand and I would never go any cheaper than this one. The weight is enough for me and it functions really well when paired with a Razer mouse pad. This is my 2nd unit, my first one broke for about 4 years of good use. If you are in the market for cheap with good quality gaming mouse, you need to try this one.
