Excellent Product
While this is more expensive than other sets, I think it’s worth it (The first LEDs I got were a cheaper version and didn’t work).The set up for these was easy and intuitive, and the controls are also intuitive and work well. You can set it from your computer or your phone, and the lights look great. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Great lights, no camera, and sync up with any Govee Smart Lights that work with the Govee App/Alexa
I run these monitor lights in sync with the Govee Rope Lights around my desk, as well as some Govee Bar Lights on my right wall, and some Govee Hex Lights on my left wall, and it is a great feeling of immersion. Very easy to set up through the Govee App on your PC, and works great.All in all, these are awesome lights, and any Govee Lights that have Smart LED and Dreamview that links up to Alexa or any other smart app can link up to the Govee App, can mimic your screen, meaning you can sync up all your smart lights in your room, set them to the proper places they are in your room in regards to your monitor, for a full immersive experience.

Amazing!
I’ve been using these for a few weeks now and I absolutely love them. I was looking for a cost effective lighting system that would reflect the visuals on my screen and these are perfect. Easy to install and use and no weird malware so far! They were a little too long for my 24″ monitor so I just stuck them together in the middle.Update: I’m back a few months later for another update. Now that I’ve had more time with them I have noticed two major flaws: the Dreamview color matching is not always accurate, no matter how much I adjust the settings/brightness/map, and this program uses an insane amount of CPU power. For smaller games, like Stardew Valley, it’s totally fine to use them while you’re playing, but if you’re running anything beefier than a pixel game- you’ll see a HUGE drop in your PCs processing power. I have a full custom built streaming PC and even so, my computer struggles to run Baldur’s Gate 3 and Govee Desktop at the same time with no other applications open. The lights are still fun when watching videos and those lighter games, but I’m disappointed that the majority of my gaming library’s performance suffers while using the Dreamview. I’ve only taken away 1 star for this, because the lights and software are still great- just not cooperative with Big Beefy Games, which is (somewhat) reasonable.

Great when it works
This product is spectacular when it works, but unfortunately, it fails about half the time. I own several other Govee products, including the lighting bars and a table lamp, but I’ve had constant issues syncing the monitor lights with DreamView. Even after switching my computer to a 2.4 GHz network, it still won’t connect to the LAN. This is incredibly frustrating, as it seems to connect only when it “wants” to, regardless of my efforts. I also find it strange that some of my other devices, like the longer, higher-quality lighting bars, are not compatible. Despite these flaws, it is a very cool and visually appealing product—when you can get it to work.P.S. the adhesive quality is subpar, it seems if I wanted to reattach it, it would not stick the same.

Awesome Sauce
Works pretty good and looks amazing. Light emitted is pretty bright so you’ll definitely get some color. Might need to look up a a video to see how the monitor sync works but other than that it’s awesome. Worth the price.

Works with monitors that aren’t ideal
Preface: I know most of the gamers reading this would be appalled to know I’m using a professional Eizo 60hz color-matched monitor for my gaming. That said, I know my monitor colors are true, and the games I’m playing don’t really require 120hz 👌Tldr: a fantastic alternative to cameras or sync boxes; desktop app is lacking in advanced features.What I liked:Install wasn’t complex.Android app is excellent and has loads of features and presets. The one thing I’ve not figured out yet is how to slow the chasing gradients.It doesn’t require a camera, using software to mirror the colors on your screen instead.It has a physical on/off switch with several modes to choose from that you can stick up behind your monitor.As soon as I enabled LAN from my android Govee app, it connected to my computer’s Govee software.Chroma was a breeze to set-up (within Synapse, not the Govee software, so I’m clear).Multiple govee devices can be added to your set-up to mirror your screen colors.I feel like one of the current downsides is that the desktop app doesn’t allow for adjusting the hue and tint of different colors; that said, aquas are displayed as blue. I haven’t seen any issues with other colors, however.

This item is of incredibly low quality. It barely has the correct fit for the monitors it’s supposed to support, and the connectivity is a complete failure. It’s a joke, and a total waste of money. There’s no sense of ambiance with this product; it’s a constant source of frustration. Any hope for a fun experience is quickly extinguished when you realize the product doesn’t work, and the customer service is nonexistent, only offering unhelpful excuses.The lack of durability in this product is further compounded by a customer service team that has been providing a constant run-around for weeks, ignoring my detailed reports and images. The fact that your team is asking me to troubleshoot the wrong product shows a complete lack of attention to my issue. I am beyond furious about this purchase. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this item and company at all costs.

Alright, so I slapped this Govee gaming strip onto my monitor, hoping for an experience that would rival Gandalf’s fireworks at Bilbo’s birthday party. I wanted something that would make me whisper, “You shall not pass” to boring RGB setups forever. But, alas, it’s more like a regular Tuesday in the Shire—nice, but not exactly mind-blowing.Don’t get me wrong, it works fine. It’s colorful, it’s flashy, but it’s not exactly like the Enterprise going to warp speed, you know? I had my hopes up, thinking my gaming station was about to turn into the bridge of the USS Enterprise, but it’s more like Starfleet Academy—gets the job done, but where’s the magic?In short, it’s not quite the One RGB Strip to Rule Them All, but hey, it’s pretty solid for what it is. Just don’t expect to see Sauron’s eye or warp-speed rainbows across your screen.
