You can tell the conductor is having the time of her life! It’s a fun concert to play while having your own table top game night – I enjoy having it on in the background while cooking and doing dishes. Halo is particularly well done.

Not an essential add to one’s collection
Well played and the video aspect was more than decent, but the selection of music made the performance somewhat monotonous overall.

Das Orchester leistet überragende Performance, bei der durchweg sehr guten orchestralen Interpretation der Spiele-Titel. Die Kamraführung, Inszeniehrung und Beleuchtung sind ebenfalls sehr gelungen. Alles in Allem wirkt es sehr stimmig, wenn da nicht die zu dezente Tonabmischung währe. Für DTS-HD Master bleibt die Abmischung weit hinter den Erwarungen zurück. Viel zu zurückhaltend in der Dynamik, Mitten und Tiefen sind zu schwach. Für eine 5.1 Abmischung liegt der Focus zu stark auf den forderen drei Lautsprechern.

Generell ein tolles Konzert mit richtig guten Musikern. An Videoqualität und Kameraführung gibt es ebenfalls nichts auszusetzen. Jedoch wirkt die tonale Abmischung etwas lieblos. In der DTS-HD MA 5.1 Tonspur sind die hinteren Kanäle durch das gesamte Konzert fast tot. Das mag zwar von der Bühnenabbildung etwas realistischer wirken, so richtig eintauchen in die Musik kann man damit aber nicht. Außerdem “saufen” manche Instrumente in der Abmischung etwas ab und der Detailreichtum sowie die Dynamik fehlen in meinen Ohren etwas. Etwas Abhilfe verschafft in meinem System der DTS Neural X Upmixer. Alles in allem für Fans von Spielen und der dazugehörigen Musik den Kauf wert, audiophile Hörer könnten aber enttäuscht werden.
